This volunteer project gives those that are interested the chance to not only help others, but to also learn and communicate with a culture and people outside of their own (or perhaps it may allow someone a chance to get to know their own culture more intimately).
Why El Salvador?
In 2005, there was an eruption of the Santa Ana volcano in El Salvador. As a result of this eruption many forests have been destroyed, allowing for mudslides and flooding to occur. The local community on lake Coatepeque needs help in reforestation and other projects to prevent further destruction.
